Handgun De-Cocking Levers

A de-cocking lever is a mechanical device designed to safely de-cock the handgun without having to pull the trigger. The lever is intended to keep a cocked gun from firing a bullet by preventing the hammer from striking the firing pin. Note: Not all handguns have a de-cocking lever.
